Cream Cheese King Cake Filling
Ingredients
- 4 ounces cream cheese 
- 2 tablespoons confectioners’ sugar 
- 1 large egg yolk 
- Pinch of salt 
- ¼ teaspoon pure vanilla extract 
Directions
- In a large bowl, beat together the cream cheese, confectioners’ sugar, egg yolk, salt, and vanilla until smooth. 
- Transfer the mixture to a resealable plastic bag. 
- Cut the tip off one corner of the filled plastic bag so you have a 1-inch hole. 
- Use the bag to pipe the filling in a long line down the center of your rolled out king cake dough. 
- Roll up dough, and proceed with the package directions.
